Giles Perkins calls for moratorium on death penalty in AL

Giles Perkins, a Democratic Attorney General candidate in Alabama, called for a moratorium on Alabama’s death penalty today, until it is fairly administered. Giles is the true Democrat in this race, and this is a courageous move to do what’s right. With less than 3 weeks until the primary runoff, please chip in what you can to support his campaign: https://secure.actblue.com/contribute/page/perkinsforag

“We have a broken system, and we should not execute another person until it is fixed. There are a lot of guilty people on death row but we can’t take the risk of executing anyone who is innocent. This is a moral issue.”

“We need to provide all defendants good lawyers and good science to make sure we get it right. We should not execute an innocent person while the real killer walks the streets.”

I like what you have shared here. I agree that we should not execute an innocent person. The killer should face the consequence.
