Sen. Bennet continued to evade questions about the influence of corporate donors in last night’s second Democratic primary debate.
When Romanoff asked Bennet to explain a contribution he received from Westwood College on March 19th — just 3 days before his committee failed to protect students from the college’s predatory lending practices — Bennet failed to provide an explanation.
“When push comes to shove, you don’t push, and you don’t shove. It’s a system that sells Senate seats to the highest bidder,” said Romanoff. “It turns Congress into a wholly owned subsidiary of the industries it is supposed to be regulating.”
Colorado Democrats want a leader who will work to bring change to Washington. A leader who won’t take corporate PAC money just to get elected.
This is just one of the many reasons we need Romanoff in the U.S. Senate. Click here to contribute to his campaign: https://donate.andrewromanoff.com/page/contribute
