Social Media: Looking ahead to 2010

Trendspotting has pulled together a presentation focusing on predictions for evolving trends in social media for 2010 from a number of folks steeped in the social media world. In true social media fashion, they limited contributions to 140 characters, the format Twitter and text messages have popularized. Some of the recurring predictions include a trend toward location based applications, more opportunities for mobile involvement, increased infiltration of micro-targeted advertisements, and an increasing move towards personal privacy and exclusive social networks.
