Working moms dominate mobile usage in U.S.

It may come as a surprise to some, but in the U.S. working moms are the biggest spenders when it comes to mobile. Mashable.com reports on a recent study from Scarborough Research:

The average cell phone bill for a working mom is $94, which is 21% higher than that of the average mobile user. Additionally, working moms are 42% more likely to download content to their phone than the average cell phone user.

In another part of the report, working moms are described as more likely than other consumers to have high-tech items in the home and to be the driving force behind upgrading that technology.

The Scarborough report is primarily focused on the opportunities for advertisers, but the facts point to opportunities for mobile organizing as well. Read more at Mashable.com
