Responding to Edwards plot claims

By now you may have seen a few of the reports circling the web after Sunday’s roundtable discussion on George Stephanopoulos’ “This Week” related to claims of a “Doomsday” plan within the Edwards campaign.

I said it yesterday and I just twittered a response again today:

Complete BS — fantasyland — not true.

I thought it sounded like complete fantasy.

I trust you WAY more than them.

Thanks for the honesty – you keep your character and credibility in tact!

Ionbiondo — no idea — but as I have said who ever it is malpracticed John Edwards, the Democratic Party and the country — and it probably wasn’t the first time.

Joe — Whew! SO glad you are being ‘the voice of reason’ out there! There are plenty of ’suspects’ that come to mind who could be so stupid as to have fed Steph this malarky, and many of us old Iowa hands (BTW, Kevin M. says ‘hi’.) have our suspicions, given how badly so much of the campaign was handled by THEM at HQ in the first place, and they are now attempting to cover their tails in light of all of this new ‘affair’ media re-exposure. You, at least, tried to get the guy elected, and who more than you knows what was/is in John’s and Elizabeth’s hearts. That these people would take advantage at this moment to ‘leak’ this so-melodramatic a ‘headline’ to that never-will-replace-David-Brinkley guy is beneath contempt. Thanks for your continued straight-up-with-no-distractions talk, keep it comin’.
