On April 11: A New Way Forward
Over the past few months, we’ve seen the financial markets take a dive quicker than any other time in our lives. Bankers and brokers struggle to keep their businesses solvent and take everything they can get from the US government to stay afloat. Well it’s time to stand up and say ‘no more.’ On April 11, people from across the country will join together to voice their disapproval of how this financial turn for the worse has been handled. The Tea Parties are not a right wing group! It is just that Hannity and FOX News are the only people in the news business that will cover the Tea Parties. I consider myself an Independent. Vote for as many Democrats and Republicans and sometimes vote Libertarian. I do not want to get rid of all social programs; the government needs to have a safety net for some (my parents could not live with SS. I just wish it was more) citizens but to have the Federal Government take over everything; banks, healthcare, charities, schools, internet, etc is too much power in the hands of people who are more interested in the needs of the lobbyists who fund their reelection campaigns that the citizens who reelected them. Please join us – we need a strong showing for Washington to take notice. Another example: I believe in a women’s right to choose abortion (not up to 9 months) but I do not believe that the government should mandate to any healthcare professional who is not in favor of abortion that they have to perform abortions like the Obama administration is planning on doing. If the government has that kind of power…let’s say the next election the Republicans gain power they can use their control over the banks to encourage the banks not to loan to states that are primarily Democrats or businesses who donated to their competitor’s campaign.
