Speaking on behalf of first time voters, many of us have already gotten a dose of the election process in the primaries. I watched my candidate (Edwards) fall behind as Obama and Clinton clawed their way to the forefront. As many of us are considering our second vote, it is imperative we reason the pro/ cons of who we have at the table. We’ve seen our parents get fooled twice with Bush, as he represented the conservative ideals our country craved during the war crisis. Now, I believe our country is craving change. Anything but staying in Iraq, the failing economy, and rising gas prices. McCain represents the status quo and do we really want another Bush on our hands? Therefore we are left with Obama and Clinton. They both present sound declarations of the problems facing us and the urgency for change. But, which candidate has what it takes to follow through on their promises and surpass our doubts; being lack of experience, or lack of accountability? Since the race is drawing to a close, (we hope) it will come down to old versus new. I would like to see new happen, especially since this election directly affects us as new additions to the workforce.
