Disengagement’s Intended Effect

As the Gaza pullout continues, more Israeli citizens continue to make a huge sacrifice for peace.
In response to this sacrifice, Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas yesterday acknowledged his commitment to peace in the region.

Disengagement ahead of schedule

CNN reports that disengagement is ahead of schedule:
Evacuations began Wednesday and were expected to last up to three weeks. Officials now say if it proceeds at its current pace, it could be completed by Monday or Tuesday.
