In response to Bush’s comments in his interview with Fox News’ Brit Hume that aired Sunday Night, Scott McClellan was forced to reconcile the apparent inconsistency between the administration’s policy on not commenting on ongoing investigations and Bush’s willingness to declare DeLay’s innocence in an ongoing trial:
